At 28th August 2020, the final presentation of the project "Concept for emission based construction product assessment" will take place at HSR.

The project team Büro für Umweltchemie, Zurich, Oektoxzentrum, Dubendorf, and UMTEC; Rapperswil, developed a concept for construction products in the use phase of the life cycle. The concept is addressing manufacturers interested in the declaration of their leaching performance and environmental impact to surface waters. Depending on the product formulation, laboratory test results are used for the risk assessment with COMLEAM. Finally, the aquatic footprint are summarized in three or four product classes.
The Swiss Federal Office for the Environment (FOEN) and the Department of Architecture, Sustainable Construction, City of Zurich (AHB) funded the project.
